Om Shanti Om

The story follows Om, an aspiring actor in 1977 Mumbai, who falls in love with a famous actress named Shantipriya but tragically witnesses her death in a fire, and 30 years later, as a successful actor named Om Kapoor, he seeks revenge on the producer who caused her death with the help of an actress who resembles Shanti and eventually exposes him, bringing closure to his past life. Om Shanti Om is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language Action Comedy movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Shreyas Talpade, Kirron Kher, Arjun Rampal, Kiron Kher and Lin Laishram. Red Chillies Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Om Shanti Om is written by Farah Khan, Mushtaq Sheikh, Mayur Puri and Mushtaq Shiekh and it is directed by Farah Khan. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Om Shanti Om was released on 1st April 2018 and takes a screen time of 170 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Om Shanti Om was made on a budget of ₹40 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹78 crore. Cinematography was done by V. Manikandan and editing by Shirish Kunder. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Shekhar Ravjiani along with Vishal Dadlani, Vishal Shekhar and Sandeep Chowta. At the 2008 IIFA Awards It won 4 awards including: Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Best Special Effects. At the 2008 IIFA Awards It also won 3 awards including: Best Debut Actress (Deepika Padukone), Best Lyricist and Best Female Debut. At the 2008 Filmfare Awards It also won an award for Best Special Effects. At the 2008 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Art Direction.
