A Pittsburgh native orphan with dreams of wealth and luxury assumes the identity of his childhood friend to escape loan sharks, and while pretending to be a successful dentist, helps his lawyer friend and his family overcome their own challenges before achieving success as an author and reuniting happily with them. Hollywood Pictures in association with Caravan Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joe Roth and Roger Birnbaum. Houseguest is written by Michael J. Di Gaetano and Lawrence Gay and it is directed by Randall Miller. Buena Vista Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Houseguest was released on 6th January 1995 and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Houseguest was made on a budget of $10 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $26 million. Cinematography was done by Jerzy Zielinski and editing by Eric Sears.
