A struggling singer named Kutty unintentionally causes a college student named Rukmini to lose her sight, leading them to fall in love and eventually seek a surgery to restore her vision, involving the donation of his deceased mothers eyes, while Kutty also agrees to donate a kidney for money, but later gets framed as a terrorist and spends several years in prison, only to reunite with Rukku after his release and find out she has become successful and regained her eyesight.
