A wrongfully convicted boy is sent to a brutal desert detention camp where he joins the job of digging holes for some mysterious reason. The movie is inspired from Holes by Louis Sachar. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Walden Media, Phoenix Pictures and Chicago Pacific Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Andrew Davis, Lowell D. Blank, Mike Medavoy and Teresa Tucker-davies. Holes is written by Louis Sachar and directed by Andrew Davis. Buena Vista Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Holes was released on 18th April 2003 and takes a screen time of 117 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Holes was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $71 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Louis Sachar.
