Speed Racer, a passionate car racer supported by his family and friends, faces corruption in the racing world, seeks revenge against a powerful corporation, discovers his missing brother is a masked racer, overcomes obstacles to win a race, exposes the corruption, and reunites with his family as the corporations CEO is sent to jail. Speed Racer is a 2008 English-language Action Family film starring Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, John Goodman, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Fox, Benno F Rmann and Alexander Yassin. The movie is inspired from Speed Racer by Tatsuo Yoshida. Speed Racer was Produced by Joel Silver, Grant Hill and The Wachowskis. Speed Racer is written by Lilly Wachowski, Lana Wachowski, Tatsuo Yoshida and The Wachowskis and it is directed by Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski and The Wachowskis. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Speed Racer was released on 8th May 2008 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. Speed Racer was made on a budget of $120 million and at the box office it grossed only $93 million. Cinematography was done by David Tattersall and editing by Zach Staenberg and Roger Barton. The music was composed by Michael Giacchino.
