A teenage girl forms a bond with a robot named 7723 and together they go on adventures, but when 7723 sacrifices himself to protect her, he loses his memory and no longer recognizes her when he reactivates. Next Gen is a 2018 English-language Animation Action movie starring John Krasinski, Charlyne Yi, Jason Sudeikis, Michael Pe A, David Cross, Constance Wu and Wang Nima. The movie is based on 7723 by Wang Nima. Baozou Manhua in association with Alibaba Pictures and Tangent Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jeff Bell, Patricia Hicks, Charlene Logan Kelly, Yangbin Lu, John Morch and Ken Zorniak. Next Gen is written by Joe Ksander, Ryan W. Smith, Wang Nima and Kevin R. Adams and it is directed by Joe Ksander and Kevin R. Adams. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Next Gen was released on 7th September 2018 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. Next Gen was made on a budget of $30 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. Cinematography was done by Paul Kohut and Paul Stodolny and editing by Matt Ahrens. The music was composed by Samuel Jones along with Alexis Marsh.
