A young girl inhabits an isolated island with her scientist father and communicates with a reclusive author of the novel she s reading. Nims Island is a 2008 English-language Adventure Comedy movie featuring Abigail Breslin, Jodie Foster, Gerard Butler, Michael Carman, Mark Brady, Anthony Simcoe and Sean Keenan. The movie is inspired from Nim s Island by Wendy Orr. Walden Media was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Paula Mazur. Nims Island is written by Joseph Kwong, Paula Mazur, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett and Wendy Orr and it is directed by Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin. 20th Century Fox acquired the distribution rights for the film. Nims Island was released on 1st May 2008 and takes a screen time of 96 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Nims Island was made on a budget of $37 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $100 million.
