Chiranjeev

A prisoner named Kaththi Seenu assists the police in capturing an escaping prisoner in Kolkata, but he escapes himself and travels to Hyderabad, where he falls in love with his childhood friend and encounters a doppelgänger who he decides to impersonate in order to help fight for a cause, leading to various challenges and ultimately a victory for the villagers, although Seenu is eventually arrested by the Kolkata police. Chiranjeev is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language Mystery Drama movie featuring Chiranjeevi, Kajal Aggarwal, Bhargavi Chirmule, Suhasini Deshpande, Anil Gavas, Bharat Jadhav and Amol Redij. The movie is based on Kaththi. Lyca Productions in association with Konidela Production Company. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ram Charan and Allirajah Subaskaran. The movie is directed by V. V. Vinayak. Lyca Productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Chiranjeev was released on 12th February 2016 and takes a screen time of 141 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Chiranjeev was made on a budget of ₹50 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹170 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by V. V. Vinayak. Cinematography was done by R. Rathnavelu and editing by Gautham Raju. The music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
