A small-time conman returns to his village and opposes a Mega City project to save residents, but is threatened by a larger conspiracy after witnessing a murder. Guru is a 2016 Indian Marathi-language Action Drama film starring Ankush Choudhary, Urmila Kanitkar, Murali Sharma, Jyoti Chandekar, Ankush Chaudhari, Urmila Kothare and Gautam Berde. Muthu Movies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sunil Lulla and Deepak Pandurang Rane. Guru is written by Ashish Pathre, Sudha Kongara and Aashish Pathre and it is directed by Sanjay Jadhav and Sudha Kongara. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Guru was released on 22nd January 2016 and takes a screen time of 142 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Guru was made on a budget of ₹22 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹45 crore. Cinematography was done by Vijay Soni and editing by Apurva Motiwale and Ashish Mhatre. The music was composed by Santhosh Narayanan along with Amitraj and Pankaj Padghan.
