A skilled mountaineer named Shivaay saves a Bulgarian tourist from an avalanche, they become romantically involved, and after their daughter Gaura is born, Shivaay discovers that Olga is still alive in Bulgaria, prompting a journey to rescue their kidnapped daughter. Shivaay is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language Action Adventure motion picture featuring Ajay Devgn, Erika Kaar, Abigail Eames, Vir Das, Girish Karnad, Saurabh Shukla and Sandeep Srivastava. Ajay Devgn FFilms in association with Pen India Limited and NH Studioz. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ajay Devgan and Ajay Devgn. Shivaay is written by Sandeep Srivastava, Sandeep Shrivastava and Robin Bhatt and it is directed by Ajay Devgan and Ajay Devgn. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Shivaay was released on 27th October 2016 and takes a screen time of 162 minutes. Shivaay was made on a budget of ₹103 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹84 crore. Cinematography was done by Aseem Bajaj and editing by Dharmendra. The music was composed by Jasleen Royal along with Mithoon Sharma and :. What Ajay Devgan the star deserved, was a sharper director and a better script. In the end, theres little else to Shivaay than the eye watering locations (both in the Himalayas and in Bulgaria), and occasionally poignant moments between Devgan and the little girl who plays his daughter.
