In Bateshwarer Abodan, a writer changes his plan to kill off his novels heroine after meeting readers who convince him to save her, revealing that they are the family of a woman who believed her fate was connected to the character; in Dui Bondhu, childhood friends Mahim and Pratul reunite after twenty-five years as Mahim waits for Pratul at a cinema hall and receives a letter stating their meeting will happen the next day, only to discover that Pratul has become a famous actor who fulfills their promise; and in Kagtarua, singer Mriganka encounters the ghost of his former servant, Abhiram, who he wrongly accused of theft, leading Mriganka to realize his mistake. Chaar is a 2014 Indian Bengali-language Drama Horror film starring Saswata Chatterjee, Abir Chatterjee, Koel Mallick, Paran Bandopadhyay, Sreelekha Mitra, Sudipta Chakraborty and Manoj Kumar Sau. The movie is based on Bateswarer Abodan by Parasuram Dui Bondhu by Satyajit Ray Kagtarua and Dui Bondhu by Satyajit Ray Porikkha by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. Shree Venkatesh Films in association with Surinder Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shrikant Mohta, Mahendra Soni and Nispal Singh. Chaar is written by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, Rajshekhar parashuram Basu, Sandip Ray and Satyajit Ray and it is directed by Sandip Ray. Chaar was released on 13th June 2014 and takes a screen time of 1-21min. Editing was done by Subrata Roy. The music was composed by Sandip Ray.
