Baba Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gordhan P. Tanwani and Sunil Lulla. Action Jackson is written by Sunil Agarwal, A.c. Mughil, Prabhu Dheva, Shiraz Ahmed, Prabhu Deva and A. C. Mugil and it is directed by Prabhu Dheva and Prabhu Deva. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Action Jackson was released on 5th December 2014 and takes a screen time of 144 minutes. Action Jackson was made on a budget of ₹93 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹57 crore. Cinematography was done by Vijay Kumar Arora and editing by Bunty Nagi. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Himesh Reshammiya along with Sandeep Chowta.
