A police inspector investigates a car crash involving an actor, leading to the discovery of missing money, a blackmailer, and a series of events involving supernatural elements that ultimately reconcile the inspector with his wife. Talaash is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language Crime Drama movie starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rani Mukerji, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkummar Rao, Vivan Bhatena and Vincent Naidu. Excel Entertainment in association with Aamir Khan Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Talaash is written by Farhan Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti and it is directed by Reema Kagti. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Talaash was released on 30th November 2012 and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. Talaash was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹6 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar. Cinematography was done by K. U. Mohanan and editing by Anand Subaya. The music was composed by Ram Sampath. At the 2013 National Film Awards It won an award for Special Jury Award.
