This is the story of Mr P.K.Nair, a man who talks,eats,dreams and sleeps cinema. Lovingly known as Henri Langlois of India, Nair Sahab (P.K.Nair) is the man behind archiving of many films in India. Celluloid Man is a 2012 Indian English-language Documentary Drama film featuring Saira Banu, Jahnu Barua, Shyam Benegal, Jaya Bhaduri, Mahesh Bhatt, Basu Chatterjee and Krzysztof Zanussi. Dungarpur Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shivendra Singh Dungarpur. Celluloid Man is written by Ram Sampath and directed by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur. Celluloid Man was released on 4th May 2012 in English,Hindi,Kannada and Bengali languages and takes a screen time of 150 min. Cinematography was done by Santosh Thundiyil, K. U. Mohanan, Abhik Mukhopadhyay, P. S. Vinod, H. M. Ramachandra, R. V. Ramani, Vikas Sivaraman, Mahesh Aney, Kiran Deohans, Ranjan Palit and V. Gopinath and editing by Irene Dhar Malik. The music was composed by Ram Sampath.
