A German bounty hunter buys the freedom of a slave named Django to help track down a group of outlaws, leading to a plan to rescue Djangos wife from a plantation owner that turns violent, resulting in the deaths of key characters and a final showdown where Django ultimately rescues his wife and avenges those who wronged them. The Weinstein Company acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Django Unchained was released on 22nd March 2013 and takes a screen time of 165 minutes.
