Chaahat

A singer named Roop moves to Bombay with his sick father for medical treatment, where he finds work at a hotel owned by Ajay and catches the attention of Ajays sister Reshma, but despite this, Roop is already in love with a nurse named Pooja, and when Reshma becomes obsessed with him, Roop chooses to work for Ajays rival, leading to a series of events that eventually result in Roops father sacrificing himself, Roop saving Pooja from Ajay, and Reshmas accidental death. Chaahat is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language Drama Romance film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Ramya Krishnan, Avtar Gill and Reggie Benjamin. Chaahat was Produced by Robin Bhatt and Viral Lakhia. Chaahat is written by Robin Bhatt, Akarsh Khurana, Javed Siddiqui and Akash Khurana and it is directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Bhatt Productions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Chaahat was released on 6th June 1996 and takes a screen time of 146 mins. The Film was successful at box office. Chaahat was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹6 crore. Cinematography was done by Ashok Behl and editing by Bharat Singh. The music was composed by National Award winner Anu Malik.
