Two partners in crime try to find a stolen necklace at a poetry contest where they end up arrested. Dedh Ishqiya is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Vijay Raaz, Manoj Pahwa and Tufail Khan Rigoo. VB Pictures in association with Shemaroo Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Raman Maroo and Vishal Bhardwaj. Dedh Ishqiya is written by Vishal Bhardwaj, Abhishek Chaubey and Darab Farooqui and it is directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Shemaroo Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Dedh Ishqiya was released on 10th January 2014 and takes a screen time of 148 minutes. Dedh Ishqiya was made on a budget of ₹37 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹25 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Vishal Bhardwaj, Abhishek Chaubey and Gulzar. Cinematography was done by Satyajit Pande and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by National Award winner Vishal Bhardwaj.
