Malana, a remote village in the Himalayas, isolated from outside civilization for thousands of years.. Bom is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language Documentary History motion picture starring Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda, Saqib Saleem, Vineet Kumar Singh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Amitabh Bachchan. Flying Unicorn Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ashi Dua. Bom is written by Amlan Datta, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Reema Kagti and it is directed by Amlan Datta, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Bom was released on 9th November 2012 and takes a screen time of 128 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of ₹94 crore. Cinematography was done by Anil Mehta, Carlos Catalan, Nikos Andritsakis, Rajeev Ravi, Ayananka Bose and Pankaj Kumar and editing by Deepa Bhatia. The music was composed by Amit Trivedi. At the 2011 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Arts / Cultural Film.
