Beginners is a 2011 American English-language Comedy Drama movie starring Ewan Mcgregor, Christopher Plummer, M Lanie Laurent, Goran Vi Nji, Mélanie Laurent, Goran Visnjic and Del Zamora. Olympus Pictures in association with Parts & Labor and Northwood Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Leslie Urdang, Dean Vanech, Miranda De Pencier, Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy. The movie is written and directed by Mike Mills. Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Beginners was released on 18th August 2011 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Beginners was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $14 million. Cinematography was done by Kasper Tuxen and editing by Olivier Bugge Coutt. The music was composed by Roger Neill along with Dave Palmer, Brian Reitzell and Jelly Roll Morton. At the 2012 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Jessica Tandy).
