Beauty And The Beast

An interesting musical fantasy film Beauty and the Beast features Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson. Initially, Ryan Gosling was offered the Beast role but turned it down to act in La La Land. This 2017 English film was written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos and directed by Bill Condon. To measure the singing voices of the actors and actresses director asked them to sing the “Hakuna Matata” song from The Lion King (1994) during the audition. When a creature captures her dad, a village girl Belle goes in search of the creature to rescue her dad. The truth that she learns about the creature and events that follows forms the crux of the story. It was produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. It was tastefully captured by Tobias A. Schliessler and edited by Virginia Katz. Alan Menken composed the music. It was released on March 17, 2017, and has a running time of 129 minutes. The movie was made on a budget of $255 million and it grossed $1.264 billion at the box office. The distribution rights were acquired by Walt Disney Studios and Motion Pictures. A PG certificate for the movie was provided by the MPAA.
