In ancient times, the Chola dynasty is driven out of their kingdom by the Pandyas due to a sacred idol, and centuries later, a group of archaeologists, including the daughter of one of the missing members, search for the lost Chola group on an island, where they encounter traps set by the Cholas and eventually fulfill a prophecy by escaping with the Chola prince. Ayirathil Oruvan is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language Action Adventure film featuring Karthi, R. Parthiepan, Reemma Sen, Andrea Jeremiah, Karthik Sivakumar, Reema Sen and Prathap K Pothan. Dream Valley Corporation was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) R. Ravindran. The movie is written and directed by K. Selvaraghavan. Ayngaran International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Ayirathil Oruvan was released on 14th January 2010 and takes a screen time of 154-181 minutes ,220 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Ayirathil Oruvan was made on a budget of ₹30 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹40 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Selvaraghavan. Cinematography was done by Ramji and editing by Kola Bhaskar. The music was composed by Gv Prakash Kumar along with G. V. Prakash Kumar.
