Two brothers named Sivaji and Ashok are separated when their coastal village is evacuated, with Ashok lying to their mother that Sivaji died in the fire and Sivaji being brought up in Vizag port where he becomes known as Chhatrapati after defending himself and other refugees against the domination of Baji Rao and his goons, before Ras Bihari and Ashok also arrive at the port and Chhatrapati must deal with his own brother who is after him. Chatrapathi is a 2005 Indian Telugu-language Action Drama film featuring Prabhas, Shriya Saran, Shafi, Bhanupriya, Pradeep Rawat, Pradeep Singh Rawat and Y. Vijaya. Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) B. V. S. N. Prasad. Chatrapathi is written by Vijayendra Prasad, Vijenydra Prasad, S.s. Rajamouli and M. Rathnam and it is directed by S.s. Rajamouli and S. S. Rajamouli. Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Chatrapathi was released on 30th September 2005 and takes a screen time of 165 minutes. Chatrapathi was made on a budget of ₹8 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹0 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by S. S. Rajamouli. Cinematography was done by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The music was composed by M. M. Keeravani.
