Urumi

The Ivory Throne is a novel about Kelu, a young man who seeks revenge against the Portuguese after witnessing their brutality towards his people and leads a rebellion against them with the help of various allies. Urumi is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language Action Adventure movie featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Genelia D souza, Prabhu Deva, Arya, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen and Kani Kusruthi. August Cinema was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Santosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Urumi is written by Shankar Ramakrishnan, Muvoz Creations, Kyoko Dan, Suri Gopalan, Paul Hardart, Shaji Natesan, Mubina Rattonsey, Santosh Sivan, Glamour Still, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Milind Vereker and it is directed by Santosh Sivan. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Urumi was released on 31st March 2011 and takes a screen time of 172 minutes. Urumi was made on a budget of ₹20 crore. Cinematography was done by Santosh Sivan and editing by A Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Deepak Dev.
