An honest police officer faces challenges in solving crimes with non-violence, falls in love, and must confront a powerful extortionist, ultimately leading to a series of events where he rescues hostages, defeats the antagonist, and later receives an offer for an undercover mission. Singam is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language Action Crime motion picture starring Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj, Suriya Sivakumar, Vivek, Radha Ravi, Aachi Manorama and Besant Ravi. Reliance BIG Pictures in association with Studio Green. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mahesh Ramanathan and K. E. Gnanavel Raja. Singam is written by Hari Gopalakrishnan, K.e. Gnanavelraja, S.r. Prabhu, S.r. Prakashbabu and Mahesh Ramanathan and it is directed by Hari Gopalakrishnan. Sun Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Singam was released on 28th May 2010 and takes a screen time of 159 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Singam was made on a budget of ₹15 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹65 crore. Cinematography was done by Priyan and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
