Kantara

A king discovers a sacred stone and donates his land to the villagers, but when his successor tries to reclaim the land years later, a forest officer named Murali gets caught up in the conflicts and uncovers a plot involving a missing father and a vengeful deity. Kantara is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language Adventure Drama film starring Rishab Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Deepak Rai Panaje, Ragu Pandeshwar and Ugramm Ravi. Hombale Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vijay Kiragandur. Kantara is written by Prakash Tuminadu and Rishab Shetty and it is directed by Rishab Shetty. AA Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Kantara was released on 30th September 2022 and takes a screen time of 150 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Kantara was made on a budget of ₹16 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹80 crore. Cinematography was done by Arvind S. Kashyap and editing by K. M. Prakash and Pratheek Shetty.
