Citizen is written by Saravana Subaiya, Saravana Subbiah and Balakumaran and it is directed by Saravana Subaiya and Saravana Subbiah. Nic Arts acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Citizen was released on 8th June 2001 and takes a screen time of 178 minutes. Cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran and R. D. Rajasekhar and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
