Veta

Set in 1939 British-ruled India, sailor Pratap is imprisoned for years by his lovers cousin, a British army member, after the ships captain is killed, until he escapes, discovers a treasure map, becomes wealthy, shelters his fellow inmates daughter, and seeks revenge on those who betrayed him. Veta is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language Drama motion picture featuring Chiranjeevi, Jayaprada, Sumalatha and Swathi Priya. Samyuktha Movies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dhananjay Reddy and Dinesh Salgia. Veta is written by Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao and Tripathi S.n. and it is directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. Sun Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Veta was released on 11th February 2008. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹75 crore. Cinematography was done by Swamy V.S.R. and editing by Vellaiswamy. The music was composed by Chakravarthy.
