Universal Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Elliott Kastner, Jennings Lang and William S. Gilmore. Swashbuckler is written by Paul Wheeler and directed by James Goldstone. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film.
