Chitthi

The story takes place in Sangli in 1995. Santosh, a young local boy, is desperately in love with pretty Sharda, with whom he wants to elope. A series of comical situations starts taking place after the letter written by Santosh gets misplaced by the postman's son, Nandu. In midst of these events, chaos is created in the lives of parallel characters, the postman and his wife, Nandu and his friends, which concludes on an awkward note. The main protagonist is the letter, through which havoc is created. Written by Vaibhav Dange Chitthi is a 2018 Indian Marathi-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Padmini, Gemini Ganesan, Nagesh Bhonsle, Shubhankar Ekbote, Ashwini Giri, Dhanashree Kadgaonkar and Aishwarya Shidhaye. The movie is based on Dayanidhi by Vai. Mu. Kothainayaki. Chitra Productions was the production house involved in the project. The movie is directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan. Chitra Productions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Chitthi was released on 19th January 2018 and takes a screen time of 170 Mins. The screenplay for the movie was written by K. S. Gopalakrishnan. Cinematography was done by R. Sampath and editing by R. Devarajan. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
