Poshter Girl

An interesting comedy film Poshter Girl portrays the happenings in a little village in Maharashtra named Tekawde. Female Infanticide is regularly followed in this village and as a result, there are no girls left in the village for the boys to get married. When such is the situation an intelligent and beautiful girl enters the village what happens next forms the crux of the story. The film stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Jitendra Joshi, Hrishikesh Joshi, Aniket Vishwasrao, Hemant Dhome, Siddharth Menon, Sandeep Pathak, Akshay Tanksale, Anand Ingale, and Vaibhav Mangale. The screenplay was written by Hemant Dhome and directed by Sameer Patil. The film was produced by Hadi Ali Abrar and Pushpank Gawade for Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Chalo Film Banaye. Interestingly one of the writers Hemant Dome has played a pivotal role in the film. The music was composed by Amitraj. Adept cinematography by Pushpank Gawade and clear cut editing by Kshitija Khandagale makes it a watchable movie. The film was released on 12 February 2016 and occupies screentime of 140 minutes.
