Bajirao Mastani

An interesting historical romance drama Bajirao Mastani features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra. For essaying her role in the film Priyanka Chopra learned the Marathi Language as spoken during the time of Peshwas. This 2015 Hindi film was written by Prakash R. Kapadia and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The love story between Bajirao general of Martha and Mastani princess of Bundelkhand is beautifully brought out in the film. It was produced by Sanjay Leela Bansali and Kishore Lulla. It was tastefully captured by Sudeep Chatterjee and edited by Rajesh G. Pandey. Sanchit Balhara composed the music. It was released on 18 December 2015 and has a running time of 158 minutes. The movie was made on a budget of ₹145 crores and it grossed ₹356 crores million at the box office. The jewelry used in the film was real and expensive. At the 2016 Filmfare Awards it received 4 awards including Best Actor (Ranveer Singh), Best Supporting Actress (Priyanka Chopra), Best Film and Best Director and at the 2016 National Film Awards it received 4 awards including Best Supporting Actress (Tanvi Azmi), Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Choreography. The distribution rights were acquired by Eros International. A U certificate for the movie was provided by the Censor Board.
