A bodyguard falls in love with the woman he is protecting, who creates a fictional identity to get closer to him, and they eventually elope when her father tries to kill him, but years later are able to reunite and start a new life in Canada. Bodyguard is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language Action Romance movie featuring Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Raj Babbar, Govardhan Asrani, Vidya Sinha and Raaf Chaudhary. The movie is inspired from Bodyguard by Siddique. Reel Life Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Reliance Entertainment. Bodyguard is written by J.p. Chowksey, Kiran Kotrial, Siddique and Aloke Upadhyaya and it is directed by Siddique. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Bodyguard was released on 30th August 2011 and takes a screen time of 131 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bodyguard was made on a budget of ₹70 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹144 crore. Cinematography was done by Sejal Shah and editing by Sanjay Sankla and Pranav V Dhiwar. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Himesh Reshammiya along with Pritam Chakraborty and Sandeep Shirodkar.
