Lean on Pete

The film follows fifteen-year-old Charley Thompson. He wants a home, food on the table and a high school he can attend for than part of the year. As the son of a single father working in warehouses across the Pacific Northwest, stability is hard to find. Hoping for a new start they move to Portland, Oregon where Charley takes a summer job, with a washed-up horse trainer, and befriends a failing racehorse named Lean on Pete. Lean on Pete is a 2017 English-language Adventure Drama film starring Charlie Plummer, Chlo Sevigny, Travis Fimmel, Steve Buscemi, Amy Seimetz, Jason Beem and Kyle Stoltz. The movie is based on Lean on Pete by Willy Vlautin. The Bureau in association with Film4 Productions and British Film Council. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tristan Goligher. The motion picture is written and directed by Andrew Haigh. Curzon Artificial Eye acquired the distribution rights for the film. Lean on Pete was released on 5th April 2018 and takes a screen time of 121 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Lean on Pete was made on a budget of $8 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Andrew Haigh. Cinematography was done by Magnus Joenck and editing by Jonathan Alberts. The music was composed by James Edward Barker.
