Ani Kashinath Ghanekar

A fascinating drama film Ani... Dr. Kashinath focusses on the professional and personal life of Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar, a dental surgeon. He decides to pursue acting and becomes one of the greatest superstars in Marathi theatre and cinema but unfortunately, he dies at a young age. The film stars Subodh Bhave in the lead role along with Sumeet Raghvan, Sonali Kulkarni, Vaidehi Parshurami, Nandita Dhuri, Prasad Oak, Anand Ingle, Mohan Joshi, Suhas Palshikar, Pradeep Velankar, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Suved Kulkarni in supporting roles. The film was written and directed by Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande. It was produced by Rahul Tulaskar for Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Adept cinematography by Sudhir Palsane and clear cut editing by Ashish Mhatre and Apurva Motiwale makes it a watchable movie. The film was released on 9 November 2018 and occupies a screentime of 159 minutes. This film is the biopic of Dr. Kashinath who was the first superstar of the Marathi stage with a lot of glamour, and he was the highest-paid star from 1960 to 1980.
