A Pakistani migrant in 1987 England faces cultural and generational clashes, finds solace and inspiration in Bruce Springsteens music, faces racism and suppression of his writing, falls in love with a student activist, defies his fathers wishes, stands up against racism, and ultimately reconciles with his family to pursue his dreams. Blinded by the Light is a 2019 English-language Comedy Drama film featuring Viveik Kalra, Kulvinder Ghir, Meera Ganatra, Nell Williams, Aaron Phagura, Dean-charles Chapman and Daniel Surridge-smith. The movie is based on Greetings from Bury Park: Race Religion and Rock N Roll by Sarfraz Manzoor. Blinded by the Light was Produced by Jane Barclay, Gurinder Chadha and Jamal Daniel. Blinded by the Light is written by Paul Mayeda Berges, Gurinder Chadha and Sarfraz Manzoor and it is directed by Gurinder Chadha. Entertainment One acquired the distribution rights for the film. Blinded by the Light was released on 14th August 2019 and takes a screen time of 117 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Blinded by the Light was made on a budget of $15 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $18 million. Cinematography was done by Ben Smithard and editing by Justin Krish. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with A. R. Rahman.
