Steven James "Steve" Zahn (ˈzɑːn; born November 13, 1967) is an American actor and comedian. He has acted in a number of movies, including That Thing You Do! (1996), Out of Sight (1998), Happy, Texas (1999), Joyride (2001), Riding in Cars with Boys (2001), Shattered Glass (2004), Rescue Dawn (2006), The Great Buck Howard (2008), A Perfect Getaway (2009), Dallas Buyers Club (2013), Captain Fantastic (2016), and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). Zahn did voice acting in Chicken Little (2005), Escape from Planet Earth (2013), and The Good Dinosaur (2015). Zahn also gained fame on television, playing Davis McClary on HBO's Treme (2010 to 2013), a recurring role as Ronnie La Fontaine on Modern Family (2014 to 2015), and the lead role as Cobi on Mad Dogs (2014 to 2016).
