The Monuments Men

During World War II, a group of experts called the Monuments Men protect and recover stolen art from the Nazis, facing obstacles from Allied officers prioritizing their own troops, split up with varying degrees of success, and eventually succeed in finding a mine in Austria and evacuating the artwork just before the Soviets arrive, with their mission being reported back to President Truman; in 1977, one of the Monuments Men takes his grandson to see a recovered artwork.
