A group of friends discover a polluted lake and find a friendly creature created by the pollution, leading to a series of events involving disguises, jealousy, a kidnapping, and a plan to stop the pollution. The movie is based on Doug by Jim Jinkins. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Jumbo Pictures, Walt Disney Television Animation and Plus One Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) David Campbell, Melanie Grisanti, Jim Jinkins, Bruce Knapp and Jack Spillum.
