A young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. The Boxtrolls is a 2014 American English-language Animation Adventure motion picture starring Ben Kingsley, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Elle Fanning, Dee Bradley Baker, Steve Blum, Toni Collette and Jeremy Harrington. The movie is inspired from Here Be Monsters! by Alan Snow. Laika was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) David Bleiman Ichioka and Travis Knight. The Boxtrolls is written by Bev Doyle, Richard Kurti, Irena Brignull, Adam Pava, Alan Snow, Anthony Stacchi, Phil Dale and Vera Brosgol and it is directed by Graham Annable and Anthony Stacchi. Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Boxtrolls was released on 11th September 2014 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Boxtrolls was made on a budget of $60 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $108 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Irena Brignull and Adam Pava.
