A Jack Russell Terrier named Max and his owner Katie live in a New York City apartment, but their peaceful life is disrupted when Katie adopts another dog named Duke, leading to jealousy and a series of adventures where Max and Duke are captured and rescued multiple times, culminating in a happy ending where they are reunited with Katie. The Secret Life of Pets is a 2016 American English-language Animation Adventure film featuring Louis C.k., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell and Richard Roeper. Illumination Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy. The Secret Life of Pets is written by Cinco Paul, Ken Daurio and Brian Lynch and it is directed by Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Secret Life of Pets was released on 1st September 2016 and takes a screen time of 86 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Secret Life of Pets was made on a budget of $75 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $875 million. Editing was done by Ken Schretzmann. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Alexandre Desplat.
