Come and Get It is a 1936 English-language Drama motion picture written by Edna Ferber, Jane Murfin and Jules Furthman. The movie is directed by Howard Hawks and William Wyler. An ambitious lumberjack abandons his saloon girl lover so that he can marry into wealth, but years later becomes infatuated with the woman s daughter. Come and get it stars Edward Arnold in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Joel Mccrea, Frances Farmer, Walter Brennan, Mady Christians, Mary Nash and Andrea Leeds. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. At the 1937 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Walter Brennan).

Though Enchantment is technically well made director Irving Reis infuses the lackluster plot with some much needed bursts of style, while Niven is typically charming in the central role the extremely deliberate pace quickly becomes overwhelming, making it impossible to ever really get into the story.
