Modern Times was Produced by Charles Chaplin and Charlie Chaplin. The movie is written and directed by Charles Chaplin and Charlie Chaplin. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Modern Times was released on 11th February 1936 and takes a screen time of 87 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Modern Times (1936), the first of seven Chaplin programs, was SRO all weekend, and when I saw it on Sunday afternoon, the audience was just about beside itself with delight.I go to a lot of movies, and I cant remember the last time I heard a paying audience actually applaud at the end of a film.
