An Irish man and his daughter join forces with Allan Quartermain to find the fabled mines of Solomon, facing unfriendly natives and overthrowing their leader along the way. King Solomons Mines is a 1937 English-language Action Adventure film starring Cedric Hardwicke, Anna Lee, Paul Robeson, Roland Young, John Loder, Arthur Sinclair and Frederick Leister. The movie is inspired from King Solomon s Mines 1885 novel by H. Rider Haggard. Gaumont British Picture Corporation was the production house involved in the project. The movie is directed by Robert Stevenson and Geoffrey Barkas. General Film Distributors acquired the distribution rights for the movie. King Solomons Mines was released on 26th July 1937 and takes a screen time of 80 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The motion picture made a box office gross of $15 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Michael Hogan, Roland Pertwee , Charles Bennett , A. R. Rawlinson and Ralph Spence. Cinematography was done by Glen MacWilliams and editing by Michael Gordon. The music was composed by Mischa Spoliansky.
