Casanova is in love with Francesca, who thinks he is a friend of himself even though he is engaged to Victoria, who is the love of Giovanni, Francesca s brother. Francesca is betrothed to Paprizzio who thinks Casanova is the feminist writer Guardi, who is really Francessca s nomme de plume. Amidst all these secret identities and misunderstandings, the Catholic Church sends Pucci to bring Casanova and Guardi to trial for heresy. Written by Ploy P. Touchstone Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Betsy Beers and Mark Gordon. Casanova is written by Michael Cristofer and Jeffrey Hatcher and it is directed by Lasse Hallstr M. Buena Vista Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Casanova was released on 9th February 2006 and takes a screen time of 112 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $37 million. Cinematography was done by Oliver Stapleton and editing by Andrew Mondshein. The music was composed by Alexandre Desplat.
