Will and Jake Grimm are traveling con-artists who encounter a genuine fairy-tale curse which requires true courage instead of their usual bogus exorcisms. The Brothers Grimm is a 2005 English-language Adventure Comedy film featuring Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, Peter Stormare, Lena Headey, Jonathan Pryce, Monica Bellucci and Nigel Pilkington. Mosaic Media Group in association with Daniel Bobker Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Atlas Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Charles Roven and Daniel Bobker. The Brothers Grimm is written by Ehren Kruger and directed by Terry Gilliam. Dimension Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Brothers Grimm was released on 15th September 2005 in English,French,German and Italian languages and takes a screen time of 118 minutes. The Brothers Grimm was made on a budget of $88 million and at the box office it grossed only $27 million. Cinematography was done by Newton Thomas Sigel and editing by Lesley Walker. The music was composed by Dario Marianelli.

A healthy helping of morbid wit and Monty Python absurdity doesnt seem like too much to ask for in a fantastical story like this, but Kruger doesnt rise to the challenge, and major supporting players Peter Stormare and Pryce function as silly accents in search of characters. ( Read More )
