The Stepford Wives

A successful reality TV producer named Joanna Eberhart moves to a quiet suburb in Connecticut after a traumatic experience, where she befriends a writer and an architect and becomes suspicious of the strange behavior of the women in town. She ultimately discovers that the husbands in the town have turned their wives into subservient robots using nanochips, and with her friends, she confronts and exposes their plot, leading to the husbands being placed under house arrest and her friends continuing their successful lives.
