Director/writer Leigh Whannell presents a vision of a Utopian future where technology is supremely ubiquitous. In that future, technophobe Grey Trace (Logan Marshall-Green) embraces an experimental computer chip implant named STEM after a mugging incident leaves him paralyzed and his wife dead. STEM proves to possess its own agency, making for an unpredictable ally in Trace's vendetta. Upgrade is a 2018 English-language Action Horror movie featuring Logan Marshall-green, Betty Gabriel, Harrison Gilbertson, Logan Marshall Green, Melanie Vallejo, Steve Danielsen and James Ao. Blumhouse Productions in association with Goalpost Pictures and Nervous Tick Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kylie Du Fresne, Jason Blum and Brian Kavanaugh-jones. The motion picture is written and directed by Leigh Whannell. OTL Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Upgrade was released on 1st December 2020 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Upgrade was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $16 million. Cinematography was done by Stefan Duscio and editing by Andy Canny. The music was composed by Jed Palmer.
