A team of oil drillers are recruited by NASA to drill a hole into a Texas-sized asteroid that will impact Earth in 18 days, in order to detonate a nuclear bomb to destroy it and save all life on Earth. Armageddon is a 1998 American English-language Action Adventure motion picture starring Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler, Ben Affleck, Will Patton, Keith David and Monique Yates Jr. Touchstone Pictures in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Valhalla Motion Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jerry Bruckheimer, Gale Anne Hurd and Michael Bay. Armageddon is written by Jonathan Hensleigh, J.j. Abrams, Tony Gilroy, Shane Salerno and Robert Roy Pool and it is directed by Michael Bay. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Armageddon was released on 6th August 1998 and takes a screen time of 151 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Armageddon was made on a budget of $140 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $553 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Jonathan Hensleigh and J. J. Abrams. Cinematography was done by John Schwartzman and editing by Mark Goldblatt, Chris Lebenzon and Glen Scantlebury. The music was composed by Trevor Rabin.
