The movie is inspired from Psycho by Robert Bloch. Shamley Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alfred Hitchcock. Psycho is written by Joseph Stefano and Robert Bloch and it is directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Psycho was released on 24th May 1960 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Psycho was made on a budget of $60 million and at the box office it grossed only $37 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Joseph Stefano. Cinematography was done by John L.
