After an economic crisis and weakened alliances, North Korea and Russia collaborate and invade the US, leading a group of teenagers to form a resistance called the Wolverines, who conduct guerrilla attacks until their base is destroyed and they regroup with US Marines to acquire a radio and continue the fight. Red Dawn is a 2012 American English-language Action Thriller film starring Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Nikky Smedley. The movie is inspired from Red Dawn by Kevin Reynolds and John Milius. Contrafilm was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson. Red Dawn is written by Carl Ellsworth, Jeremy Passmore, Kevin Reynolds and John Milius and it is directed by Dan Bradley. FilmDistrict acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Red Dawn was released on 22nd November 2012 and takes a screen time of 93 minutes. Red Dawn was made on a budget of $65 million and at the box office it grossed only $50 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Carl Ellsworth and Jeremy Passmore. Cinematography was done by Mitchell Amundsen and editing by Richard Pearson. The music was composed by Ramin Djawadi.
